Should I start learning on electric or acoustic guitar?

Which one is the best to start learning on? Which one is going to give me the best start?  Maybe another way looking at is “Where do you want to head with it?” “What’s the dream?”

So the if you want to be a full on rock player, then probably the electric guitar is the best style to start with. That is going to be the guitar you'll be using the whole time. So start with the end in mind.

But the big thing is - whatever you're learning when it comes to beginner lessons and the content that you're learning will be the pretty much the same first off whether it's on an electric guitar or whether it's on an acoustic guitar, it's going to be exactly the same.

So so the answer is - It doesn't really matter which guitar you start with. It iss  better to look at it from the end result of where do you want to head.

And there's probably just one exception. If it's for a younger child who wants to learn, electric guitars are pretty heavy. They are basically a lump of wood. So so they are quite weighty and they they're harder for them to carry and to hold.

And that might be then a consideration, to start with a a nylon string guitar and then move up to an electric guitar at some later point.

So that's probably the only exception, but for most times, just learn on what you want to be the end result - where do you want to be!
